Leading the Virtual Launch of a Bulk SMS Product with Nationwide Visibility

Context: Parrotica is a bulk SMS product designed to help businesses communicate with customers at scale, reliably, and affordably. I led the virtual launch of the product, focusing on go-to-market execution, brand positioning, and coordination across marketing and technology teams.

My Role: I planned, managed, and led the virtual launch strategy, defined messaging and feature positioning, and collaborated cross-functionally with engineering, marketing, partnerships, and external media to successfully bring Parrotica to market.

What I Delivered:

  • Defined the go-to-market plan: goals, positioning, content, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Created launch-day assets, demos, and product walkthroughs in collaboration with design and product marketing.
  • Coordinated a live product showcase that attracted media coverage from Techpoint Africa and Business Day.
  • Positioned Parrotica’s features to stand out in a competitive B2B messaging space.
  • Coordinated with event hosts and media to organize a virtual showcase.
  • Developed live feedback loops for early user engagement and roadmap refinement.
  • Positioned core features (bulk scheduling, segmentation, delivery tracking) for business users.

  • The virtual launch event drew over 100 live participants and more than 400 early sign-ups.
